The Tulip Black Velvet Chocolate Coating 5kg is specifically designed for all your cake, cookie, donut and pastry that give your applications dark almost black coloured coating.

How to Use The Product?

The Tulip Chocolate Coating product should be melted first before applying to any baked product

- The bain-marie method
1. Chop the required amount of chocolate into small pieces to ensure easier melting.
2. Place the chocolate in the bowl of a bain-marie, making sure the bowl does not touch the simmering water. Gently stir with a spatula until fully melted. The ideal melting temperature is between 45°C - 50°C.
3. Remove the bowl from heat and keep stirring to lower the temperature of the chocolate.
4. Once chocolate has fully melted, check the temperature. The ideal working temperature is between 40°C - 41°C.

- The Microwave Method

 1. If using a microwave, first chop the compound chocolate into small pieces to ensure easier melting. 
2. Place in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20-30 seconds intervals, while continuing to stir the chocolate in between each interval to ensure even melting of the chocolate.
3. Repeat for 3-4 intervals or until you achieve a smoot, shiny and silky texture.

NOTE: When pouring melted Coating Chocolate on a cake or pastry product, we recommend that the temperature of the cake is room temperature to ensure a nice and even coating. If you coat a product that has been in the fridge, you may get a thicker and uneven coating. While if the product is too hot, the chocolate will not set as nicely and evenly due to the high temperature. It is NOT recommended to pour this product on ice cream.

Answer: No, this product is not bake-stable and should not be placed in a heated oven.
